Setting Up Your Email Account
Nearly all "email client" programs that are used to check email, such as Outlook, Windows Mail, Thunderbird, Eudora, Mac Mail and event your Gmail account require the same type of information to connect to your email account. When we create your email account on our server, we will send you instructions to setup the account on your computer or mobile device. Here is an example: For the fictional email account of bob@mycoolcompany.com His email address display name would be: Bob Smith His username (sometimes called account name) would be bob @mycoolcompany.com (Be sure to include the entire email address in lowercase.) His password would be a secure password at least 8 characters in length that we provided to him. His incoming email server would be: mail.mycoolcompany.com His outgoing email server (ie SMTP server) would be: smtp.mycoolcompany.com Check the box that says 'My server requires authentication" Set the SMTP port to 587 That is all that is necessary to make the email work properly. You can also always easily check email via webmail. Bob's would be: http://webmail.mycoolcompany.com - Just replace 'mycoolcompany.com' in this example with your domain name. We have included a video below for you to show you how this is done, in this example, using Microsoft Word 2007 and Apple Mail.
