SEO with the PD-go! System

We often receive compliments on how many Search Engine Optimization options are built into the PD-go! System. In this fast paced Internet-dependent culture, the success of your business or organization depends on how "visible" your website is to Search Engines.

Here are some of the ways that the PD-go! System website editor can be used to direct traffic to your website:

• The PD-go! System automatically manages the sitemap.xml file.This file communicates with search engine robots in order to notify the search engine of recent changes or new content added to your website.
  
  
• We can enable edit-ability of the robots.txt file if necessary.This is rarely necessary as the PD-go! System also automatically manages this file.
  
  
• Meta keywords, meta description OR meta code can be added to a single page on the editor page for each page.
  
  
• Keywords, description OR meta code can also be added to ALL pages using the "Global SEO Settings" found under "Additional Options" in the Website Manager. Note: Page keywords are appended to global keywords. Page meta description will replace the global meta description.
  
  
• Alternate text can be added to images easily from the image gallery by editing each image and assigning relevant alternate text.
  
  
• Alternate text can be assigned to critical Site Style images also but can only be done by PD-go! Staff. We will be happy to add these tags if you send a list of tags for each site style image to support@pdgo.com
  
  
• Images are renamed to match the Alternate Text. This makes filename optimization extremely simple.
  
  
• Page filenames can be managed easily from the editor page. While links in the content would not be updated, the navigation links will automatically update to the new page filename.
  
  
• If your a codesmith and prefer to work with html, you can edit the html of the editor by clicking "HTML" in the editor toolbar of each page.
