Hi Everyone!
 
We hope the new year is off to a great start for you!  We have been very busy building new websites and adding new features and functionality to the PD-go! system.  Here’s an update on a bunch of new features.  I’ll ask Seth to post this email in the Support section of the www.pdgo.com site too.  (Please share this email with your staff members that should be in the loop, and let me know if you want me to add them to the distribution list too.)
 
E-Store Updates:
 
1.     We now have the new “Orders Manager” for you to use.  This tool keeps track of all orders placed on your site’s E-Store so that you can easily review your sales, mark as shipped or closed, etc.  To use it, login to your account of PD-go!, click the ‘Orders Manager’ blue box at the top, and check it out!
2.     We have drastically improved “Attributes” feature. This is where you can sell your item(s) with multiple versions of the product. For example, you can sell a T-Shirt, but it can come in multiple colors, sizes, neck type, etc.  You can now offer your items precisely how you wish using drop down menus, radio buttons, checkboxes, and text entry fields.  See an example of this here, using the website for the children’s book I wrote a few years ago:

Look for the “NEW Attribute Manager” in your “Product Manager” area of the E-Store.  (My book makes a great present for kids by the way! ;-)
3.     You can now establish coupon codes for items that you sell in your E-Store.  For example, during checkout, your customer can enter a code that you have designated and they will receive a 10% discount, or $5.00 off, etc.  You have full control over the coupon code’s name and the amount or percentage of discount.  To enable coupons, under the “E-Store Manager” click "Edit my E-Store Information" and change "Allow Coupon Codes" to “Yes”.  Then, to edit coupon codes, under “E-Store Manager” scroll down to "Manage Coupon Codes"
4.     You can now make a product “Out of Stock’ within the E-Store Product Manager area.  If you make it ‘Out of Stock’ then it can be seen on the site, but cannot be added to the cart.

General System Updates:

1.     Ability to add small graphics to the left of your left column navigation items:  Check out this site to see this new feature in action:  http://laportefarms.com
You can have the same graphic to the left of each item, or insert a different item for each page.
2.     “Additional Options” – found on the Website Manager, it contains a list of features that are typically not used very often, like updating your footer or the content header or the area under your left navigation bar.
3.     Some companies have multiple staff members that need to receive messages from us related to the website.  We have added a feature where we can now send multiple recipients the ‘news’ emails from PD-go! directly.  In your “My Contact Info” area, you will see a box that allows you to add the email addresses of additional recipients separated by commas.
4.     If you use the “Protected Content Password” feature, and you want to be sure that your hidden pages are not found by Google (or other search engines), be sure you turn on the password for each page and/or file that you wish to keep hidden.  Your site visitors will only need to enter the password one time as the system remembers it and will let them into all password protected pages.
5.     You can now have two separate flash headers on your website:  One can be make especially for your home page only, and the second is for all the other pages within your site.
 
 
Postini Toolbar – For our clients that use the Postini Spam Filter, if you wish, you can now download and install the Postini Toolbar for your Outlook. (Before you install please be assured you are added to the local administrator group on the computer you wish to install the app on, and have Outlook turned off.)

Install the toolbar, restart Outlook, and you will see the toolbar in your Outlook. Click settings, and make sure the support email is set to spam@postini.com  You can add your Postini userid and password so that you can have quick access to the message center. You can inform Postini of spam messages that end up in your box accidently by clicking the ‘Spam’ button in the tool.
