Hello PD-go! Clients,
Happy Fall to you all! It’s a great time of year. The weather is cooling off in Vero Beach (although I’m still wearing shorts today). It’s a great time of year to focus on your business for the big push into the holidays. I have some exciting news to report today:
1. PD-go! Version 2 is officially LAUNCHED!! After over a year of effort and spending much more money than originally estimated, the new PD-go! system is now launched and live for all clients. If you have signed into the PD-go! system recently, you will see that there are some new features even though things look very similar to version 1. Some new features include:
a. Quick/easy page resorting – no more ‘move up’ and ‘move down’ buttons, but instead reorder them and click the button to instantly reorder them as desired.
b. Improved Mini Gallery – Have multiple photos in a single location allowing the visitor to browse forwards or backwards, showing text captions, and even an automatic slideshow – see a sample of it here in the top right corner: http://vbcba.org/
c. Ability to have three levels deep of pages/files, such as main level page, sub level page, and sub-sub level page (previously was only two levels deep)
d. Backups - Ability to see and quickly restore backups of page content. Look for the [Backups] link in the website manager.
e. Last Updated – this shows you at a glance when each page/file was last updated. Helpsyou keep your content fresh!
f. HTML button in the editor – For those clients who are familiar with HTML editing, you can now edit HTML. Please ignore it if you don’t know how to use it properly.
g. Embed YouTube.com videos – Let us know if you want the ‘Additional code’ box turned on, so that you can easily paste in the ‘embed’ code from a YouTube.com video, then the video plays within the body of your web page instantly.
h. Additional Options – This is a new section for site-wide settings, which include the place to establish the protected content password, set site-wide Mini Gallery Display options and search engine meta data, as well as a place to paste in Google Analytics (visitor statistics) code.
i. E-Store clients now have improved ease of use, as well as the “Orders Manager” area to show the data from past online orders and more.
j. There’s more, but those are the main items I can think of right now. We will add other new features to PD-go! v2 over the following months as well.
2. Updated Help Area - http://www.pdgo.com/Main-Support-Page.html Please click this link and bookmark it, as there’s tons of great tools, tips, and hints here on how you can keep your website looking and working great.
3. Updated PD-go! Training Guide – Please download the newest version of the training guide here and save it to your computer and/or print it out. http://www.pdgo.com/PD-go-System-User-Guide.html As we update the training guide, we’ll post the newest versions in this same location for you to download whenever you wish.
4. Group Training Sessions – From time to time, having a refresher course on using the PD-go! system can be very helpful to clients, especially if you have new staff that have never been trained originally. If you are interested, please set your calendars for this Friday, October 23 at 1pm EST (10am PST). This will be a free online PD-go! v2 training session using the GoToMeeting technology. You will need your computer (with high speed internet connection) and a phone. To participate in the meeting, 5-10 minutes before 1pm EST, please connect via computer by clicking this link: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/join/472225872 (download and install the little program, and then enter your name and email address when prompted); and join the conference call by dialing 646-558-2103, enter access Code: 472-225-872. (Audio PIN: Shown after joining the meeting). If you need it the Meeting ID is 472-225-872 NOTE: If you cannot participate in this meeting, please email me and let me know, and we may schedule another group training in a few weeks. I strongly suggest you participate in this online meeting if at all possible.
5. PD-go! Franchise Referral Commissions – As you know, we are now offering the sale of franchises of the PD-go! Web Solutions Business which includes the use of our software, manuals, methods, training, support, etc. Details are available at www.pdgofranchise.com – If you refer us to someone and they end up buying a franchise at our normal price, we will send you a “thank you” check for $1000. Please share the word!
6. PD-go! Freelance Sales Positions – With so many Americans out of work, we came up with an idea on how to help improve the economy in our own small way… We are offering Freelance PD-go! Sales Positions for people across the USA. This position involves the right person becoming an approved salesperson for PD-go!, having their own PD-go! logo shirts, business cards, etc. They would join their local chamber of commerce and other networking groups to offer and sell PD-go! web solutions. When they close the sale, we would give them 20% of the total cost of building that website. It’s great for everyone since the salesperson gets work and income, we get new clients, and the new clients get a great new website that they can easily update themselves. Everyone wins!
7. Automatic backup of your data using Carbonite.com - If you don’t have a stable, automatic, off-site data backup in place, please email me asap to receive my special invitation link from Carbonite.com. For $55/year, the system will automatically and securely backup all your data so that when your hard drive crashes, you don’t lose that valuable data. At least once per month, I hear of a client of ours losing all their data due to a hard drive crash… please don’t be the next one!
8. Support – Thanks for continuing to use support@pdgo.com for typical support issues, like resetting passwords, setting up email accounts, and how to do certain changes within PD-go! Seth Goldsmith (our primary support person) has a new direct number: (772) 646-0747 and you’re welcome to use it if you wish.
9. Time to freshen up your website? If your site has had the same look for a year or two, or more, perhaps it is time to hire us for a few hours to give your site a fresh new look? We can also add flash animation to the top for extra appeal. Please let me know if you would like to discuss it.
10. Updated contact info? If you have new contact info, please call our office with the details so we can be sure we have your best numbers, email addresses, etc.
11. Special Congrats! A special congratulations to Dr Mindy Hall of www.seasidesmiles.com – she has referred eight clients to PD-go! so now her monthly bill for PD-go! services is ZERO/Nothing! She’s the first and only client that has accomplished this awesome achievement! Good going Dr Mindy!
